Jamie Katz, PT, DPT, is a pediatric physical therapist with a longstanding passion for working with children. Prior to becoming a PT, she spent years working with children and adolescents as a camp counselor and educator, teacher, and youth group advisor. Jamie earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from California State University, Northridge.
Jamie has extensive experience working with children from infancy through school age with a variety of developmental and neurological diagnoses. Her passion for pediatric physical therapy began during graduate school while completing clinical and research work at Da Nang Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital in Vietnam. Years later, she returned to Da Nang as a CSUN faculty member and clinical supervisor, mentoring Doctor of Physical Therapy students during their pediatric rotation.
Jamie is a longtime member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), including the Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy. Jamie values building strong relationships with children and their families and believes therapy should be meaningful, engaging, and fun. As a Lead Physical Therapist, she is passionate about mentorship and creating a collaborative environment that supports both families and fellow clinicians.
Outside of Uplift Therapy Center, Jamie enjoys hiking and camping, staying active, attending concerts, and putting her knowledge to the test at weekly trivia with friends.
