Occupational Therapy for Children

Our licensed and caring occupational therapists work with infants, toddlers, school-age children and adolescents. We provide personalized occupational therapy plans based on the individual’s needs.

We work with children to improve gross and fine motor skills, overcome challenges associated with developmental differences, and improve sensory integration skills.

In addition, we work with children who have received specific diagnoses, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and developmental delay.

Pediatric Speech & Language Therapy

Speech and language pathology is beneficial for individuals who have speech delays and impairments.

Our speech therapists help children develop their language production (speaking), communication, and social skills through individualized speech therapy sessions.

Young people who have difficulty understanding or comprehending written and spoken language, including children who have a dyslexia diagnosis, may also benefit from speech and language therapy.

Pediatric Physical Therapy

At Uplift Therapy Center, pediatric physical therapists see children of all ages with a variety of diagnoses. The primary goal is to help children to reach their maximum potential to function as independently as possible and improve their participation at home, in school, and in the community.

Pediatric Feeding Therapy

We strongly believe that children learn best through PLAY, and therefore the most effective feeding therapy happens when we use food to play with a purpose to teach new skills. Our therapists are trained in The SOS (Sequential-Oral-Sensory) Approach to Feeding, which is designed to assess and address all the factors involved in feeding difficulties, including oral-motor, sensory, cognitive, and behavioral components.

What to Expect During Therapy Services

Our therapy services start with thorough intake questions, standardized evaluations, clinical observations, and task analysis. This provides us the set of tools we need in order to create a custom plan tailored to your child’s needs.

Our therapists will also spend time developing a relationship with the family. We value the importance of partnering with parents and families to address their concerns and prioritize their needs.

Treatment sessions are fun, engaging, and incorporate therapeutic play and children look forward to their sessions. Throughout the sessions, the therapist will continually assess progress and make the necessary adjustments to the treatment plan as needed to ensure optimal results for your child.

Therapy services for children incorporate therapeutic play. Our therapists create a fun and safe environment for children to succeed and grow. Therapists report on goals and adjust treatment plan as needed.
