Briana, originally from Iowa, earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Iowa before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a performer. She worked as an actress and dancer before starting her own photography company specializing in maternity, newborn, and family photography.
Briana is a proud mother of two sons, Charlie, 9, and Rhett, 6. After Charlie was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder at age 3 and childhood apraxia of speech at age 4, Briana discovered occupational therapy (OT). Fueled by Charlie’s therapeutic journey, she returned to graduate school, earning her Master of Science in OT from West Coast University Center for Graduate Studies in Los Angeles.
Her passion lies in working with the pediatric population, particularly in early intervention with children with developmental differences. Briana’s personal experiences as a special needs parent drive her commitment to supporting and advocating for clients and their families as they navigate this complex and often difficult journey. To better support her client’s, and diversify her career, she is also currently pursuing a post-professional Doctor of OT degree, set to graduate in early 2026.
As an active advocate in the special needs community, Briana serves on the board, as the parent support co-chair, for New Growth Inc. and Camp Kelly, a nonprofit organization providing inclusive summer camp experiences for children of all abilities and support for their families. In her free time, she loves spending time in nature with her family.
